Vetivert reduces stress and nervousness and is even used to support individuals experiencing shock or trauma to help soothe and stabilize them.

This exotic smelling essential oil is deeply relaxing to both body and mind. Described as ‘the oil of tranquillity’, as well as being used to support individuals who have experienced shock or trauma, this soothing essential oil is also more readily used to support nervousness and insomnia.

Vetivert can be used as an insect or lice repellent, but should that fail it can be applied topically to stings and minor burns. It can also be applied topically for muscle and joint pain and conditions such as arthritis as well as for skin conditions such as acne and oily skin. 

Known to symbolize strength and courage, this classic aromatherapy oil is grounding and supportive and creates an environment of emotional stability and fortitude.

HOW TO USE

• Diffuse: add 10-15 drops of essential oil – on its own or as part of a blend with other oils – to 100ml water in a Kotanical stone oil diffuser.
• Massage: add 1-10 drops of essential oil to 2tsp of carrier oil such as coconut, almond, jojoba, grapeseed or olive oil.
• Topical: add 5-10 drops of essential oil to 10ml of carrier oil such as coconut, almond, jojoba, grapeseed or olive oil.
